Freedom of Information Working Group

The Freedom of Information Working Group (FOIWG) was established at the request of Central Management Group (CMG) in September 2001 with two aims:

to consider the impact of the impending Freedom of Information legislation on the University
to make recommendations on actions the University will need to take to ensure compliance with the legislation.

The Working Group was disbanded on 9th January 2006 because the policies they established had been tested by a year of experience and found to be strong. It was therefore determined that no further intervention was required from the Working Group.
