Freedom of Information And ExemptionsThe University of Edinburgh is a member of the Scottish Higher Education Information Practitioners Group (SHEIP), which has produced the following guidance document. This guidance is intended to provide staff in the Scottish HE sector with an overview of the exemptions contained in the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 and the tests that apply to them, and to assist staff with taking decisions on whether to release information.
