Managing Employee Records In The Higher Education / Further Education Institutions Sector

In March 2003 the JISC announced that the University's two project bids in response to the circular "Supporting Institutional Records Management" had been successful.  The two projects, 'Managing employee records in the HEI/FEI sector' and 'A records lifecycle for planning and strategy functions' ran from May until October 2003.

'Managing employee records in the HEI/FEI sector' was led by Glasgow University.  The project's aim was to define the key records series in human resource management activities, refine the retention guidelines identified in JISC's Study of the Records Lifecycle, and to define the "employee record".
